For more than 30 years, Solano County Friends of Animals (FOA) has been helping area residents adopt pets. It partnered with Pet Food Express to create a cat adoption center and has recently reached another milestone – the adoption of its 2,000th pet. The nonprofit organization is run by volunteers and relies on donations to provide services to the community and provide relief to animals in need.
The partnership includes more than 60 public and private agencies that serve children from prenatal to age five. Its mission is to expand these services to children who may be at risk for developing problems. The partnership’s website provides additional information on services and resources. Interested families can contact the Partnership for Early Access to Kids to request developmental screenings.
